The rain didn't dampen the spirits of the Lady Raiders, who hosted Brewster on May 14 in Grand Coulee, winning 12-0. Greg Behrens, a retired geologist from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, demonstrated his drone for The Star in April at his home east of Grand Coulee in the Spring Canyon area.     Firefighters from Coulee Dam, Grand Coulee, and Elmer City departments responded to a vehicle fire near the Coulee Dam Casino Tuesday. The fire burned inside the cab of a pickup truck. The cause is still under investigation. The fire, reported at 5:14 p.m., was extinguished by 5:25 p.m. Two fire extinguishers were used to put the fire out, which could have been worse, according to firefighters on the scene, who said it could have burned the truck to the ground.     Grand Coulee Dam area residents may dispose of household hazardous waste for free on Friday, May 13 from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Delano Regional Transfer Station. This event is for waste generated by households only. Participants must remain in their vehicles and all waste must be in the trunk or the bed of a pickup. Containers will not be returned.     Coulee Dam Police 4/24 - A man on Cedar Street told police that someone had gone through his pickup truck and that the glove compartment was open. The man didn’t report anything of his taken, but explained that his neighbor had had a chainsaw taken out of his pickup.
