In Coulee Dam May 25, The Raiders defeated the Oroville Hornets 68-45 in their season opener. On the road May 26 against Liberty Bell, the Raiders lost the game by just two points with a final score of 58-56. Then in Mattawa May 28, LR defeated Wahluke 65-53.     Raiders win football season opener The Lake Roosevelt Raiders were strong as ever on Friday when they defeated the Tonasket Tigers, 37-0, in a football blowout in Tonasket. Each player is allowed only two guests per game for home games, while there will be no away team fan attendance for road games.     High school sports have been delayed even further. The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association put off the start of high school sports seasons in the 2020-21 school year to Feb. 1. Seasons had been scheduled to start Dec. 28, but because of a surge in COVID cases around the state, the executive board of the WIAA decided on Nov. 17 to delay the start of sports seasons even further, until Feb. 1.
