A program to educate students who “don’t fit” the regular high school or who are at risk of not graduating high school will come back to the Grand Coulee Dam School District next year. A “dangerous building” issue in Grand Coulee got a 90-day reprieve from the council at its meeting last week. People who own houses in Electric City and who don’t live in those houses will not be able to rent them for any timeframe shorter than a month, following a city council vote last week. Annual Easter egg hunt set The town of Elmer City will hold its third annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 1. Mayor Gail Morin started the local egg hunt two years ago, drawing up to 100 people each year. Morin said that anyone who wants to volunteer to help hide the eggs can call town hall at 633-2872. Elmer City's "Complete Streets" project that will connect town streets to the Downriver Trail is underway. Coulee Dam will get some sidewalks fixed when a big project moves forward this year, the result of a vote to move ahead despite higher-than-expected bids on the street project to revamp an area on the east side of town, including Cedar Street.
