A dinner planned by the Moose Lodge will raise funds to help support the family of a young man recently stricken with leukemia.

The George Davis Dinner on April 7 from 5-7:30 p.m. will be open to non-members and will feature pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and chips, plus dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Tickets are $10, available at the Moose Lodge and the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce office.

A silent auction is planned, as well as a raffle for a “Seattle Experience” including a one-night hotel stay, dinner and the Seattle Great Wheel, and more.

Davis, 29, was hospitalized Feb. 9 and is expected to be released from Holy Family Hospital in Spokane sometime this month. He will need to continue treatments. It is not known when he will be able to return to work. The dinner will help support his family in the interim.
