The Grand Coulee Dam School District is looking for someone to serve on the school board. School board Chair Joette Barry recently resigned because she is moving outside the district, and the district is looking for a replacement. Since, for the most part, members of the board represent certain districts, a replacement for Barry would have to come from the Electric City area. Airport officials have started the process of updating their master plan. Grant County Port District 7 commissioners, who manage the 4,200-foot paved runway airport operation, broke down the requirements of the plan at their last meeting. Drivers planning to use the Keller Ferry to cross the Columbia River via State Route 21, from April 12 until the morning of April 16, will need to use alternate routes for their travels. A Grand Coulee man wanted on three warrants was arrested at a closed local cafe March 26. Police arrested Martin L. H. Scranton, 25, and took him to Grant County jail on the warrants. Coming off a strong winter season, Coulee Medical Center showed upbeat financial numbers, including a nearly $200,000 gain in February and a big drop in the amount the hospital owes to Grant County.
