    All are invited to the final community clean-up day at Spring Canyon Cemetery Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 am until noon. It will be a good time to clean around your family's headstones or stones of those who do not have family living here anymore. Bring gloves, shovels, weed eaters, brooms, brushes, etc. Lion's Club members, military veterans and cemetery supporters will be there to work with you and haul away debris. It will be a fun time.     Grand Coulee Police 4/25 - Someone was walking around with an ax in the Section Place area. He hadn’t committed a crime but was told by police it probably wasn’t a good idea to walk around with the ax. 4/27 - Police were told that a 10-year-old wrecked his motorcycle near Yakima Street and possibly had a broken bone. The officer learned a family member took the kid to the hospital where the officer learned the child had hit a tree and it “went into his leg.” The 50cc motorcycle wasn’t being driven on the roadway at the time of the accident....

    Lots of fun is scheduled for North Dam Park during the Colorama Festival, this year, including some new-this-year events. On Friday, kids can take part in the Kids Color Fun Run at 4 p.m. That means they'll get dusted in colorful powder, so wearing white will make those colors pop!     Coulee Dam Police 4/14 - The church bell was reported stolen from the St. Henry’s Catholic church. The reporting party said that sometime between 4/6 and 4/13, someone stole the 100-year-old bronze bell. It left a mark on the grass where it had fallen about 10 feet, and bolts were also lying on the ground. A couple days later, an officer received word that the bell was at a junkyard in Lincoln County. The owner of the junkyard didn’t know how it got there.     Coulee Dam Police 4/15 - A Coulee Dam officer and a Grand Coulee officer responded to a request to assist the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the execution of a search warrant on Lakeview Boulevard in the Delano area. The officers were instructed to go onto the property first, activate their lights, and make announcements on the sound systems of their patrol cars.
