    Inland Northwest Blood Center along with the Grand Coulee community blood drive volunteers led by Leha Bodeau are planning a blood drive for Monday, December 18. Donation hours will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the community room in Coulee Medical Center. INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people!     The free Thanksgiving dinner tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 15) at the Senior Center filled up quickly to its capacity of 110 guests, officials said Tuesday. Counting guests who pick up their meals and those that are delivered, the total being fed at 5 p.m. tonight could run as high as 135. The Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center was still taking calls for people to put their names on a reserve list in case people canceled. That number is 633-2321. The Trees of Sharing program is a special way for Grand Coulee Dam area residents to anonymously bless local children who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmastime. The trees with “ornament tags” will be placed at selected locations in the community by Saturday, November 18.     A new bronze plaque took its place on a pillar of basalt outside Lake Roosevelt Schools Saturday as volunteers mounted it to the rock. "I'm really happy with it," said Lonna Bussert of the Grand Coulee Alumni Association, adding she hopes alumni of other schools that were blended into LR also add commemorative plaques.
