Morris "Boozer" Barnaby, 69, of Elmer City, Washington and a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Spokane, Washington. 

Born Wednesday September 16, 1953 in Nespelem, Washington to Donald Angus & Elizabeth "Betty" Desautel-Barnaby, Boozer attended Grand Coulee High School, where he was a proud member of the "Tigers" Basketball, Cross Country and Track Teams.  Following graduation in 1971, Boozer began a 37 year career with the Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee Dam, retiring as a Power Plant Operator.    

Boozer was involved in a lot of town sports and competed in the town rec leagues for Volleyball, Basketball and Softball leagues, and even rounds of Racquetball. In his older years he found quiet days spent on the greens of Banks Lake Golf Course.  Boozer enjoyed playing Poker, Cribbage, and rooting the Seahawks and he was always searching music on youtube and besides the classic oldies, he loved finding new music for his playlists. 

Boozer's other passion was as a Classic Car "ENTHUSIAST!"  Among other vehicles, he owned a "1967 Chevrolet Super Nova", but Boozer's baby was his "Custom 1934 Chevy Coupe" which he loved and took to numerous car shows and came home with awards for best car in show from several car shows.      

His greatest joy above all others though, was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Boozer tried never to miss their sporting events and was always in the stands cheering them on.  

Preceded in death by both of his parents; Morris' legacy lives on though his children: Nichelle Barnaby and Nicholas Barnaby; grandchildren: Trevan Barnaby, Twila Moses, Clyde Barnaby, Traitan Gallaher and Landon Barnaby; siblings: Bonnie Jamison, Becky Rey (Dale), Anna Barnaby, Karen Erickson (Jim), Brian Barnaby, Cheryl Barnaby and Lisa Loe (Jeff) as well as numerous nephews and nieces.  

A Celebration of Boozer's life will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at the Banks Lake Golf Course, 19849 Ludolph Rd, Electric City, WA 99123.
