An ongoing Sally Ward art exhibit and sale at RockWall Cellars to benefit the Okanogan County Historical Society is bringing Sally Ward art owners out of the woodwork. Grand Coulee Police 2/3 - Police checked on a vehicle parked in the lower powerhouse parking lot that didn’t have a company placard displayed. Police found that the vehicle belonged to an authorized firm. 2/4 - A man in Continental Heights reported that his wife was missing. By the time police arrived the man found her standing in the back yard soaking wet. Grand Coulee Police 1/27 - A resident on Ronald Drive was mailed an infraction notice for noisy dogs because the homeowner was not in. Police had received complaints about the dogs several times. - Police were called to the Grand Coulee Veterinary Clinic, where a loose dog outside was causing problems for people entering or leaving the clinic. Police followed the dog to a residence on Burdin Boulevard and saw a person there let the dog in. Grand Coulee Police 1/13 - A woman reported that she had received a call from a party who said they represented the PUD and if she didn’t pay her back bill they were going to shut her power off. She told the caller that she didn’t owe a back bill and then called PUD customer service who said they were aware of the scam and she should call police. Having recently read that December 2014 was the hottest December on record, according to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, and that 2014 was the warmest year on record, as well, I guess my data goes along with that information. We recorded a mean temperature for December of 33.6°F (all-time mean is 29.5°F), putting us 4.1°F above the mean temperature. Grand Coulee Police 12/28 - There was a report of a vehicle stolen from a residence on 2nd Street. The owner of the vehicle said it had been locked and the transmission didn’t work. Grand Coulee Police 12/23 - Police checked on a report of a man lying on the sidewalk in front of the Mariah House Apartments on Main Street. Police found the man known to them, and he stated he would walk home to his place on Hill Avenue. - A man who had pulled into the crane area at the top of the dam to answer his phone was told it was not a parking area.
