Grand Coulee Police 6/9 - A Newman Lake man who owns two vacant houses in Electric City told officers that windows in one house had been broken, possibly by a pellet gun, and the door on the second house had been forced. Masquers has a history of pioneering new plays by local playwrights. The latest chapter in that endeavor is a musical. “This Ain’t Me” is the name of it, and it was written by Vince Bryant, with assistance from his wife and daughter. The play is done, and he wants to see how it will look and sound on a real stage with real actors. Masquers’ long time artistic director, Beverly Hasper, will be helping to make that happen. Grand Coulee Police 5/19 - Police are sending a report to the prosecutor’s office asking that charges of third-degree theft and harassment be filed against two men who agreed to make vehicle repairs for a Grand Coulee man. After repairs were supposedly made, the man still had trouble with his vehicle. The theft had to do with those who were supposed to do the repair and returning a gasket. Built by DWK Fowler Construction, the playhouse will be raffled off at the Ridge Rider Junior Rodeo in July as a fund-raiser for the saddle club. Tickets are on sale now at Loepp Furniture and Appliance at $1 each. For years, Fowler has built unique playhouses for a raffle held at the Junior Rodeo.
