Grand Coulee Police 5/8 - A citizen reported that a semi-truck had been parked along Grand Coulee Avenue near the city park overnight and that a vehicle parked by the truck at one point from which a woman got into the semi. Boaters on Lake Roosevelt should be cautious because of debris from failed log booms upstream, the Bureau of Reclamation warned Tuesday. High river velocities and low reservoir levels at Lake Roosevelt have resulted in a failed log boom at the mouth of Kettle River, approximately 105 miles upstream of Grand Coulee Dam. The pressure of the water flow and accumulated debris pushing against the log booms caused a break in two places. The dogs were in their fenced in yards when police responded, but they observed one of the dogs climb over the fence. A man who lives at the home came and put the dogs into their crates. Several schools in Lincoln County were among more than 30 in the state that shut down April 12 after receiving and email claiming a bomb was in the building.
