Nevin Mark Pfaltzgraff, 67, of Elmer City, Washington, passed away in Grand Coulee, Washington the morning of Sunday, February 12th, 2023.

Nevin was born Sunday, November 13th, 1955, in Garkida, Nigeria, West Africa to his medical missionary parents Dr. Roy E. & Violet Pfaltzgraff, who specialized in the research of Leprosy prevention and treatment.

When he was 17 years of age, Nevin moved to the United States, graduating from high school in Philadelphia. A man of many talents, Nevin was a natural "problem solver" who could fix or build anything he set his mind to. He worked in the building trades, had his own handy-man business for a time and was a government weather observer in Forks, Washington prior to settling in the Grand Coulee, Washington area in 2007. Nevin assisted with hurting families at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, worked at Harvest Foods in Coulee Dam and did home repairs throughout the area. In his spare time Nevin loved spending time tending to his garden.

In 2016, as a talented artist himself in various mediums including - watercolors, oils and acrylics. Nevin joyfully became the Gallery Manager of "Titwáatit Native Art Gallery" in Grand Coulee. As such, he could create his own projects and discuss art with customers and fellow artists – including his good friend - Keith Powell. Nevin held this position until illness forced his retirement.

Predeceased by both of his parents and his brother, George Pfaltzgraff, Nevin is survived by his soulmate and life partner:,Judy Miller; sons: Justin Pfaltzgraff (Barbara) and Aaron Miller-Pfaltzgraff; two grandchildren; brothers: Roy Pfaltzgraff (Kathy) and David Pfaltzgraff (Betsy) and sister, Kathryn Pfaltzgraff.

Nevin is also survived by his beloved Standard Poodles companions: "Mojo", Mayberry, Myrtle & Aurora. After-all, to know Nevin was to know that aside from his art, Nevin loved his Standard Poodles! It was not uncommon to see Nevin, Judy and four or five of their four-legged friends, enjoying romping past "Geezer Beach" or along "Rufus Woods."

A memorial celebration of Nevin's life will be announced.
