Lady Raider tennis players competed at the District 6 tournament in Omak on May 18 where singles athlete Amy Dorman and the doubles team of Kaylee Landeros and Riley Ayling qualified as alternates for the statewide competition.

The athletes needed to place in the top three to qualify for state.

Amy Dorman took fourth, just falling short at playing at state.

"We ended the season with two alternates to state," Head Coach Billy Monroe said. "Amy Dorman got fourth place. She had a great tournament and fell just short of playing at state.  She is probably the most talented freshman that I have coached in tennis before, and I see her making a lot of noise next season."

"Kaylee Landeros and Riley Ayling also fell just short in the third and fourth place match," Monroe continued.  "They improved a ton throughout the season.  My other doubles team of Terai Bob and Raeanna Joe ended up in fifth place. They went into the tournament as the 12th seed, so they also had a good tournament."
