Ellen Marie Attwood was born August 26, 1959, in Omak, Washington. Her parents were Joseph and Helen Tonasket. Ellen spent her early years in Omak and Inchelium, Washington. The family moved to Deer Park, Washington when her father got sick. After his death, the family moved to Electric City, Washington.

Ellen Attended Grand Coulee Elementary and graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1977. Ellen married Chuck Desautel and had two children, Carly and James. Following Ellen and Chuck’s divorce, Ellen met Bryan Attwood and they married in 1991. They were together until her passing October 2, 2021, at their home in Grand Coulee, Washington. Ellen loved her crafts, gardening and playing with her grandchildren. Ellen was a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend.

A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held at a later date.
