Alexander Virgil "Lil Alex" Samuels Sr.

Alexander Virgil "Lil Alex" Samuels Sr., 22, loving Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew and Faithful Friend; left us all much too soon from Coulee Dam, Washington, Thursday evening September 9, 2021. Alex entered this world Saturday July 31, 1999, in Omak, Washington, to Benjamin Cyrus Samuels Sr. and Bernadine Michel.

A member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and Catholic Church, Alex attended Omak High School, where he was a valued member of the Wrestling Squad and Football Team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and playing video games with his friends. Alex's greatest joy however came during time spent with family and especially his two sons, who were the lights of his life.

Predeceased by his sister, Michele Samuels and grandparents, Vivian Pierre, Lenora Wallahee-Michel-Iukes, Virgil Michel, and Chuck Samuels; Alex's legacy lives on through his beloved two sons: Kobie Alexander Samuels and Alexander Virgil Samuels Jr; life partner and mother of his children, Paulina Vazquez; grandfather, Nelson Iukes; father, Benjamin Cyrus Samuels Sr; mother, Bernadine Michel; sisters: Fernisha Samuels and Maryjane Samuels; nephew, Brevyn Hall and niece, Roslyn Hall.


Alex's dressing was at 2pm on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, Washington. His Community Rosary began at 7pm the same evening in the Nespelem Community Center, Nespelem, Washington, where his services were also held, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10am. Graveside services followed at Norine Smith Cemetery in Nespelem, Washington.
