Darlene V. Bott, 76, of Electric City, Washington, passed away Friday evening, July 30, 2021, in Wenatchee, Washington. She was born Monday, October 2, 1944, in Lovell, Wyoming, to Lewis & Virginia Banks. Shortly following her graduation from Rocky Mountain High School in Cowley, Wyoming in 1963, Darlene Banks married Wilbur Bott in her hometown of Lovell, Wyoming that same year. Well known and loved by Lake Roosevelt School District students and staff as School Secretary, Darlene retired after 27 years. In addition to her secretarial duties, Darlene served on the school board as well one year as Senior Class Advisor - she took the senior class to Disneyland. Following retirement, she and Wilbur enjoyed traveling – taking cruises going to Reno a couple of times a year, Branson, Missouri, visiting family in Montana as well as other locations. Active in the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center, she did cross stitch, needle P\point and crocheting, as well as collecting ceramic collectable shoes.


Predeceased by both of her parents, Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Wilbur Bott; children: Steven Bott (Linda) and Charlene Hixson (Terry); grandchildren: Tyler Bott (Emily) and Brandon Bott and great-grandchildren: Wilbur and Violet.

Her Celebration of Life will be at 10:00am on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, Washington. Urn burial will follow at the Spring Canyon Cemetery, Grand Coulee, Washington.
