Paul D. Nachtigal, 60, of Electric City, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012,at Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee. He was born on April 24, 1951, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Paul and Ethel Nachtigal. Paul worked construction along-side his brother Donald for Penco Construction Company owned by their father. James Lee Francis, 46, passed away of a fatal heart attack in Donaphin, Mo., early Saturday morning, March 24, 2012. All of his organs (excluding heart) were donated to Transplant Services so others may live in his honor. Jim was born in Portland, Ore., on May 14, 1965, to Kathleen and Jesse James Francis. Terri L. Chamberlain, 47, of Electric City, passed away suddenly Monday, March 12, 2012, at Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee. Terri was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, on May 4, 1964, to Rex and Lou Chamberlain. She moved with the family to the Grand Coulee Dam area in the early 70s. She was the youngest of four children. Ernest F. “Ernie” Sprugel, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital hospice care facility in Spokane. His love for his family, his passions, and his stubbornness shone through until the end, and finally traded cancer for eternal peace. Larry married Nancy Epperson in Grand Coulee, Wash., in 1972 and moved to Port Orchard, Wash., in 1979 with two of their to-be three children. Long time area resident Thelma Thurston died February 5 of age-related causes in Eugene, Ore. She was 94 years old. Thelma was born on December 3, 1917, in Delrio, Wash., to Garnet and Wesley Rinker.
