    Grand Coulee Police 5/2 - An Ephrata man was cited for not having insurance after an officer stopped him near North Dam Park because of a faulty headlamp. He got a verbal warning on the headlamp. - Police responded to a domestic issue at a residence on Roosevelt Avenue in Electric City. A man was trying to gain access to a home to get his things, but his wife would not let him in. Since the disagreement was only verbal there was no crime, police stated.     Grand Coulee Police 4/24 - Safeway reported to police that a woman came into the store and placed three bottles of liquor — Jameson Whiskey, Smirnoff Twist, and Captain Morgan Run — into her white purse, along with some beef jerky, and walked out without paying for it. One of the clerks followed her out and got her license plate number.     Rotarian Merle Kennedy and high school students Lucas Bird and Dakota Seylor transfer a trailer load of paper into bins for shredding Saturday during the Grand Coulee Dam Rotary Club's free shred day event. The community brought in 5,800 pounds of paper to shred, plus about 125 pounds of food and $409 in donations for the Care and Share Food Bank.     Grand Coulee Police 4/14 - An employee at Sunbanks Lake Resort reported that a smoking pipe was found in one of the rooms after guests from Puyallup checked out. The pipe was sent to the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab for analysis. 4/17 - An Elmer City man reported that there was damage to his pickup while parked at Safeway. Officials are going to look at the security tapes. 4/18 - Police checked on a lost child report from Goodfellow Street in Electric City.     Grand Coulee Police 4/11 - An Electric City man who had run out of gas, and whose car was blocking the entrance to the Department of Transportation yard, asked for a courtesy ride to his home so he could get some gas and get his car moved.     From far and near, 23 young riders attended The Ridge Riders Saddle Club's barrel racing clinic last week. Taught by Jackie Jackson-Gudmundson, the clinic brought students from as far away as Snohomish, Washington, who wanted to learn from a champion in the popular rodeo event.     All classmates and teachers who attended Coulee Dam High School, Mason City High School and Nespelem High School between 1935 and 1975 are invited to an all-class reunion coming this summer in Coulee Dam.     Grand Coulee Police 3/26 - An Electric City man living on Fourth Street told police that three individuals were on his property without permission. The three said they were looking for gas because their vehicle was low on gas. The trio told police that they got angry when the man called them thieves.     We wanted to thank everyone who helped with the cleaning &andrepairs weekend in early March. Several people showed up to volunteer their services and they did a fantastic job in the kitchen and around the center. Offsite, the bus garage upgrades are coming along, thanks in part to a break in the cost of lights and materials from Coulee Hardware ,,so we also want to thank them for helping support our efforts.
