Grand Coulee Police 11/4 - A woman living on Roosevelt Drive told police that when she came home she noticed her 55-inch TV and other articles had been taken. She said she didn’t feel safe there and was going to stay someplace else. - An officer noticed a driver using her cell phone and stopped her near the post office. She said she didn’t know the status of her license and when the officer checked, he found that it was suspended. Grand Coulee Police 10/26 - A Roosevelt Drive resident reported that one of his tires had been slashed, apparently with a knife. Cost of repair tire was $150. 10/28 - Police checked on a 911 call from the Jack’s Spring Canyon Service. When checking on the call, the officer learned that someone had gassed up and then left without paying. The amount was $50. The person who drove off returned and paid for the gas. - Lincoln County officials asked for assistance in contacting a woman who had left the scene of an accident. Local officers tried to r... This week marks the beginning of Trees of Sharing 2013. The community-wide Trees of Sharing program is a special way that Grand Coulee Dam area residents may anonymously bless local children who might not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas season. Grand Coulee Police 10/12 - A woman on Weil Place told police that some kind of oil was poured on her doorstep. She said that there were foot prints leading from next door to her door. Police took note of the type of shoe imprinted in the oil. The woman said she saw a known party in the vicinity and police looked for the man and when they found him he had on shoes similar to those imprinted in the oil. Grand Coulee 10/8 - Police were called to the Grand Coulee Dam Middle School after a bomb threat note was found in a student’s book. The writing on the note matched the student’s handwriting. The student wouldn’t admit that he wrote the note. Officials at the school suspended the student for five days. 10/9 - USBR Plant Protection advised police that an employee drove recklessly as he approached the Station 3 guard shack.
