    The Raider girls won their two team tennis matches last week, while the boys lost both. The boys won their doubles matches against the Davenport Gorillas April 18 but lost the singles, while the LR girls won the singles matches but lost the doubles. At Oroville on Thursday, the Raider girls scored another team win while the boys came close to winning by just one match.     Lady Raider softball had a tough week, winning only one of four games last week. “We had too many defensive errors this week,” Head Coach Cassie Wendt said. In a doubleheader against Oroville, the Lady Raiders committed 13 errors against the Hornets, then six against the Mountain Lions.     The Raiders traveled north to Okanogan Saturday to take on the number-one Bulldogs. In the first game the Raiders kept it close until the fifth inning when the Bulldogs scored 8 runs to put the game out of reach. The final in the first game was Okanogan 10, LR 1. At the start of the second game the Raiders scored 2 runs at the top of the first. Then, in the bottom of the first inning, the Bulldogs exploded with 11 runs. The Raiders could not come back.     Lady Raider Softball took on the Okanogan Bulldogs in Grand Coulee on the 16th. The Lady Raiders struggled in the first game. The Bulldogs jumped out and stayed ahead. The final score in the first game was Okanogan 13, LR 2. In the second game the Okanogan Bulldogs jumped ahead quick on two three-run innings and a Paxton Wood home run.     Raider tennis players took on Liberty Bell at home March 29, then faced Wilbur-Creston on March 31 in Creston. Against Liberty Bell, the Raiders struggled, losing the match to the Mountain Lions. Jordan Charles recorded the only win for the Raider boys. That came in the number 3 singles as he defeated Tyler White in a tiebreaker game.     Raider tennis players fought hard in their matches but could not defeat the Oroville Hornets in Coulee Dam Thursday. The boys' team picked up one win in singles competition out of the five total varsity contests. That was in the number-two singles, where Isaiah Baty defeated Elijah Burnell in two sets (6-4, 7-5).     Ambulance runs reported Grand Coulee’s ambulance crew responded to 19 calls during February, city council members learned last Tuesday night. Six calls were to Coulee Dam (32 percent), three were transports out of the area and 10 calls were in the Grand Coulee area. There were no fire calls, but there was one mutual aid call, and firefighters responded to Coulee Medical Center, where a bad sensor set off an alarm.     With a large team and a little extra help from the community, the Raider Golf program kicked off the season at Moses Pointe Golf Course in Moses Lake March 14 against the Warden Cougars and Moses Lake Christian Lions.     LR Boys Basketball improved their overall win-loss record to 10-5 after winning two of the three games last week. The Raiders lost in double overtime to Oroville at home Jan. 19 after leading by as much as 15 points over the Hornets. At the end of regulation, the score was tied at 56. In the first overtime, both teams took turns leading until they finished OT at 63 all.     The Raiders are on a three-game win streak after sweeping their opponents last week. The wins put the Raiders firmly in second place in the Central Washington 2B North with a one-game lead over the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions.     The Lady Raiders won one and lost two basketball games last week in the first of two three-game weeks in a row. The Lady Raiders defeated Tonasket at home on Jan. 5 by the final score of 51-39, which improved Lake Roosevelt's league win-loss record to 4-0.     Raider baseball competed for a state berth until the very last moment possible Saturday, finishing sixth in the district tournament. The Raiders had defeated Kittitas on the May 11 to stay alive in the tournament. In the first game Saturday, the Raiders faced the Warden Cougars. Lake Roosevelt and Warden played a tight game.
