Rodney Carr of Yakima, Wash. went home to be with his Lord & Saviour Sept. 16, 2026. Rod was born in Glasgow, Mt. on January 21, 1939, to Jack & DeLores Carr. He grew up in Grand Coulee, Wash. and graduated with the G.C. class of 1957. Rod's career in the Insurance field took him from Seattle to Honolulu, Hawaii where he had his own agency...Carr's Insurance for about 20 Yrs.
While in Hawaii his passion was to volunteer at the Pearl Harbor War Memorial. As a World War II History enthusiast, he enjoyed sharing with visitors from all over the world. Spending time on his beloved Harley was the other passion of his life. He traveled the Islands, and many roads in the USA including Sturgis. He served as Director of the Honolulu Chapter of the Harley Owners Group for several years. Retiring to his wife's hometown of Yakima where he spent many hrs. gardening in his treasured yard.
Rod is survived by his Harley partner and wife of 46 years Nancy. Brothers Alan (Linda) of Bellevue, Gary of Everett & sister Jacci (Terry) of Arlington, Wash. Three step- sons Jeff (Cathy) Mark and Steve Hoppis. Four grandchildren. One niece & 3 Nephews. All of whom share lots of fun & sometimes crazy memories. Rod was proceeded in death by his son David Carr. Until we meet again Rod...we will miss you here.
Graveside service will be held at Spring Canyon Cemetery October 17 at 1pm
