Timothy "Tim" Whittaker

Timothy "Tim" Whittaker, 84, of Electric City, passed away peacefully at his home on May 15, 2026.

Tim was born on November 11, 1941, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Ruth Gregory and Webster Whittaker.

Tim proudly served his country as an active-duty member of the United States Navy for 20 years. His military service was one of his greatest accomplishments, and he remained deeply patriotic throughout his life.

In 1984, Tim married the love of his life, Linda Whittaker. Together they raised their son and shared their home with many beloved pets they considered family. Over the years, they traveled throughout the United States before eventually making their home in Washington. In 1996, they settled in Electric City, where they enjoyed retirement together in a community they both loved.

Tim was known for his love of gardening and fishing. He enjoyed fishing year-round, whether spending quiet time alone or making memories with friends and family. He was especially proud of his country and expressed that pride through his collection and display of bald eagles, a symbol he deeply admired. Tim also had a great love for animals, especially his little dog, Heidi. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching every Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners game, working on nature puzzles, and reading western novels.

Tim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Whittaker, who passed away in September 2024.

He is survived by his brother, Dale Whittaker; his son, Steven Whittaker (Tawni Whittaker); and his grandchildren, Cassandra Merriman (Matteao Merriman), BrieAnn Whittaker (Jake Pharris), and Cody Ewers.

Tim was a kind and devoted man who proudly served his country and cared deeply for his family, friends, and community. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
