Masquers to perform Little Women

The beloved characters of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, Little Women return again in this charming portrait of two holiday seasons, Christmas with Little Women by PhyllisMcCallum.

The initial holiday is marred by the receipt of a telegram from the War Department.  Father, while serving as a chaplain in the Union Army, lies ill in Washington.  Mrs. March (Jessica Stredwick) must leave to care for him.

However, a year later, it is a joyous occasion for the Little Women indeed.  Jo (Mary Hale) sells her first story to a newspaper.  Meg (Finley Wittenborn) is in love and is engaged to Laurie›s (Ely Parrott) tutor, John Brooke (Connor Leasher).  Excitement abounds when Amy (Sawyer Greenfield) gets an opportunity to go to Europe.  Most importantly, Father is healthy again and is coming home on the evening train!  This heartwarming story is truly in keeping with the joyous holiday season.

Rounding out the cast is Kristina Allman as Hannah, Summer Kump as Beth, and Masquers’ veteran, Carol Boyce, as the boisterous (and slightly crabby) Aunt March. Directed by Marla Allsopp and Rainy Anderson, this play is perfect for the whole family and a wonderful way to start the holiday season! Shows run December 5 - December 14 and tickets are on sale now atwww.masquers.com
