Coulee Dam Police
10/11 - An officer went to Ferry Avenue on a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival at a residence the officer observed a couple appearing to be in an argument. A man went into the residence while a woman remained outside. She told the officer he would need a warrant to enter the residence, and that she and the man had been arguing about the TV show American Horror Story. When asked why the argument stopped, she told the officer it was because “the sky is blue.” The officer talked to the man, and after observing no signs of a physical altercation between the pair, suggested they separate for the night. It was determined no crime had been committed.
10/12 - A report related to assault at the elementary school didn’t include a narrative on the situation.
- Police were unable to contact the reporting party at a Sunny Drive residence where her dog was “acting crazy.”
10/14 - An Electric Boulevard resident informed police that her German shepherd had escaped her residence. Police hadn’t seen the dog at the time of the report.
- Police served a man in Electric City with a protection order and told him he had to leave a Goodfellow Avenue residence. He was allowed to retrieve a lawn mower and weed eater first. Police also helped him return a dog named “Satan” by helping with an exchange, which took place at city hall.
10/17 - Police pulled over a vehicle for speeding on SR-155 within Coulee Dam city limits. A passenger was recognized by the officer as a man wanted on a tribal arrest warrant. A tribal officer arrived and took custody of the passenger.
- Police went to Lake Roosevelt during the homecoming dance on a report of teenagers possibly drinking. Police observed 16- and 15-year-olds getting into a pickup truck. Alcoholic lemonade was inside a sealed pink box the boys said belonged to one of their fathers and was simply left in the vehicle. As the boys were all too young to be in possession of alcohol, the officer told them it would be “seized for destruction,” according to the report.
10/18 - Police went to Eden Harbor Road to check on a possibly deceased male who was simply asleep in his vehicle. Everything was fine and police left.
