Scouting for Food Nov. 8

Local Scout Troops 24 and 52 are gearing up for this year’s Scouting for Food drive, and they need your help to make it another record-breaking year.

A week before the event, scouts will deliver flyers to homes throughout the area. Then on Saturday, Nov. 8, you can participate in two ways:

• Leave your food donations out by 9 a.m. for scouts to collect.

• Or drop them off at one of our convenient community collection sites: Harvest Foods, Auntie Dannee’s, or Jess Ford.

All donations will be gathered from those locations by 12:30 p.m.

Last year, thanks to the community’s generosity, local scouts collected over 1,800 pounds of food, helping 130 local families in need. Let’s see if we can beat that this year!

Please remember: the food bank cannot accept expired items.
