Daniel Eugene "Dan" Cox

Daniel Eugene "Dan" Cox Passed away peacefully Wednesday night August 27, 2025, at Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee, WA. Dan was born on August 1, 1960, in Spokane, to Ira Jay and Bertha Ann (Mustard) Cox.

He was raised on a ranch in Owhi Flats, Nespelem, during that time he attended schools in Nespelem, Coulee Dam and Grand Coulee. Dan graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School as a 12-year vet in 1978.

Upon graduating Dan began his employment career working for various construction companies throughout Washington State. Being a Jack of All Trades and a Master of None, Dan could do it all, finishing concrete, driving all kinds of trucks, graders, cats, loaders, etc. But Dan's pride and joy were his logging truck. A Perfectionist he was.

Dan returned to Owhi Flats in 2010, he was happy to come home. Upon returning to Nespelem he went to work for a local contractor off and on until his passing.

Dan lived life to the fullest. He loved boating, snowmobiling, racing cars, 4-wheelers and his Harley. He also had a special bond with all of his dogs throughout his life

Dan is preceded in death by his parents Ira and Bertha Cox. Hia oldest brother Elmer E. Cox. He is survived by his siblings, Vyvyan (James) Carter of Deer Park, WA. Francis Cox, Mary Cox, and David Cox all of Nespelem, WA. Dan is also survived by three aunts, numerous cousins, nieces & nephews, extended family and friends.
