Carol Loretta DeFranco born August 21, 1934 passed away on February 16, 2025. She was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. Carol spent a lot of time on the boardwalk. She worked making pies with her mom and had a lot of good times with her cousin. As a young adult Carol worked at a record store, where she met her husband Louis DeFranco. They were wed in 1962 in Palm Springs, California and moved to San Jose, California after the birth of their daughter. Carol spent many years there. She and her husband moved to Lake Almanor, California in 1978. She loved the lake life, going out on their pontoon boat and throwing parties for her family and friends. They lived in Fallon, Nevada for quite a few years and spent a lot of time with their family.
Carol moved to Grand Coulee six years ago, after a couple of years in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
People seemed to get a kick out of Carol's sharp wit, and playful personality. She was a joy to have around. She liked to cook, play cards and be around her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carol is survived by her brother, Kieth Mullins, daughter, Laurie Coffey, grandson, Richard Coffey and her great-grandsons, Cody, Caleb and Wyatt Coffey.
Carol will be laid to rest at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada with her husband. There will be no services.
