Ronald Bernard Tracy

A Life Well Lived

Ron Tracy, age 77, of Coulee Dam, Washington, passed away on February 21, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Ron was born in Portland, Oregon to his loving parents Bernie and Betty.   Ron married his wife Charlene and they were married for 54 years. They were fortunate to add to their family three children who they loved seeing them grow up, watching their Sporting events, taking family vacations, and  being proud of the adults they became.   All three children married wonderful spouses and they blessed us with Seven wonderful Grandchildren.

Ron pursued his higher education at Portland State University and graduated with a BA in Mechanical Engineering. Ron, a United States Army veteran, was Drafted during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a Mechanical Engineer at the Grand Coulee Dam, where he worked dilligently until his retirement.

A man of many talents, Ron was known for his exceptional skills in fixing things and his passion for teaching others. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. His seven grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he was always there to help them with their studies or any other need. He was their encyclopedia of knowledge, their favorite saying was "ask grandpa he will know the answer".

In his free time, Ron enjoyed biking, hiking, and sharing his love for history. He was a role model and a source of wisdom for his family and friends. His calmness, his patience and his devotion to his family will always be remembered by his loved ones.

Ron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was taken far too quickly. A service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA, in early April. Details regarding the date and time will be announced later.

Ron leaves behind a legacy of dedication, compassion, and generosity that will be cherished by all who knew him.
