Taxes are due

New federal program to help with those deliquent on taxes

Grant County taxpayers are reminded that real, mobile home, personal property second half taxes are due by October 31st. Please verify that all parcels that you intend to pay were included on your statements. Please send the bottom right side coupon of your statements if you are paying by mail for proper crediting. If you have more than one coupon, you may make one check for the total taxes and please remember to sign your check. A drop box is set up outside the courthouse next to the election ballot drop off box for those taxpayers who wish to drop off their tax payment and do not need a receipt. There is also a drop box in our office. We will be open during noontime October 23rd through October 31st. Please also take advantage of reviewing information regarding your parcel on http://www.grantcountywa.gov. Click on Parcel Information to open TaxSifter.

You can also pay your taxes online on our website http://www.grantcountywa.gov under the Treasurer’s link under Elected Officials and also under Online Payments under Quick Links where you click on TaxSifter in the Treasurer’s Office section. Payments by credit cards, debit cards or Echecks can be done through our website credit and debit cards can be used to pay in our office including processing fees.

We recently discovered a new federal program administered by the State to provide assistance to qualifying property owners that are delinquent on their property taxes for their personal residence. Go to washingtonhaf.org to complete their form at the bottom of their web page to start this process.

With the county’s new website, there is an opportunity to be informed on the latest news releases of upcoming events and reminders of taxes due. Click on “Notify Me” to subscribe to the News Flash for the Treasurer’s office.
