The city of Grand Coulee is wrestling with whether to declare a moratorium on the location of marijuana gardens or distribution businesses within the city limits.

After several years of no quilt shows in town the Zion Lutheran Church is presenting A quilt show Saturday September 20th. The show along with a pie sale will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the church.

Richard Scordas, 17, from Coulee Dam recently placed second in the national water ski slalom competition in Duquoin, Illinois.

The 1983 Lake Roosevelt football team is high in numbers and in spirit. Forty-one students are out this year, 20 of which are freshmen, nine sophomores, eight juniors and four seniors. The seniors include Jim Stanley, John Oliver, Scott Kentner and Joe Mueller.
