NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Grand Coulee City Council in the council chambers at Grand Coulee City Hall, 306 Midway Ave, Grand Coulee on July 18, 2023, beginning at 6:00pm.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review final project performance on the Grand Coulee Wastewater Facility Plan funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

2024–2029 SIX YEAR STREET PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the city council in the council chambers, 306 Midway Avenue, on July 18, 2023, immediately following the public hearing for the Wastewater Facility Plan. The purpose of the public hearing is to review and receive comments regarding the proposed City of Grand Coulee Six Year Street Transportation program. Comments may also be submitted in writing to City of Grand Coulee, PO Box 180, Grand Coulee WA 99133, by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023. The city hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. Midterm Vacant Supervisor Position

The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors are authorized under RCW 89.08 to fill vacant elected positions. Albert Roberts, District Auditor, passed away on April 9, 2023. The Okanogan Conservation District Board of Supervisors does hereby resolve the following:

The Board of Supervisors position previously held by Albert Roberts is hereby deemed vacant effective immediately.

The vacant position will be open for applications beginning at 8:00 AM on July 20, 2023, and running continuously until 4:00 PM on August 18, 2023. Interested persons shall be required to submit to the District Elections Officer a letter of interest as well as a completed Form PF-A that is available from the district office or the Washington State Conservation Commission. Please contact the Okanogan Conservation District Election Officer, Becky Drenner, at (509) 429-3418 or emailing at becky@okanogancd.org. Candidates must be registered voters residing within the boundaries of the Conservation District and may be required to own land or operate a farm.

A conservation district supervisor sets policy and direction for the conservation district. A conservation district supervisor is a public official who serves without compensation.

Candidate required information is available through the Election Officer and will be accepted by mail or by making an appointment to drop it off at the District office by calling the Election Officer at (509) 429-3418.

The Board of Supervisors may take action to appoint an applicant starting with the September 5, 2023, regular monthly board meeting. The time to be served in the vacant position is approximately 9 months.

You can register or obtain registration forms at the Auditor’s Office, on line at http://www.votewa.gov, and Department of Licensing.

The Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, will be open so voters may obtain replacement ballots, drop off voted ballots, obtain provisional ballots, and use the Accessible Voting Units, at the following times.

Mon. – Fri. 8:00am – 4:30pm July 24th- 31st, 2023

On Election Day only, August 1, 8am - 8pm

Ballots require no postage and must be postmarked by the day of the election. Check with your local Post Office for deadlines to have your ballot postmarked properly.

Canvass Board meetings are held in the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, in Okanogan.

Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 and Friday, August 11th, 2023 at 11:00 AM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots

Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at 2:00 PM to canvass the votes cast and certify the election
