6/5 - Police spoke to multiple teenage boys who had been involved or present with vandalism spray painted around Electric City. One of their mothers said she would have her son offer to mow lawns of the owners of the vandalized property to help make up for the vandalism.

6/11 - Police spoke to a man and woman who had fought while driving during an argument that started over the radio. The man explained he was driving during the argument, and the woman began scratching him, causing him to bleed on his face and arm, and bit him in the shoulder area as well. He said that he likely hit her in the face in self-defense. He said that he pulled over in a parking lot above the Grand Coulee Dam. Police took note of their injuries. The woman claimed that she had been driving when they pulled into the parking lot, switched places in the vehicle, and that the fighting took place there. Police took note of her missing fake nail, bloodied nose, and blood on her ear lobe. Police determined that the woman was the primary aggressor in the situation, arrested her, and took her to jail for domestic assault.

- Police went to Mead Avenue where a woman was slumped over in a running vehicle. The woman was confused when police contacted her. She explained she decided to take a nap because she was tired on her way to Spokane. Police took note of tin foil and a “tooter” straw consistent with drug use, but the woman didn’t show signs of impairment and blew a 0.00 breathalyzer test for alcohol. She was warned about the drug paraphernalia.

- As there were no Coulee Dam officers available, a Grand Coulee officer assisted tribal police with identifying a person in Elmer City. Based on tattoos, the man was confirmed to be someone wanted on felony warrants out of Stevens County.

6/12 - A woman who had previously reported a pistol as having been stolen told police she had found it inside her residence. Police unmarked the pistol as stolen.

6/13 - A person reported getting gas at the Four Corners gas station after which the vehicle quit working. Police explained the driver would have to seek payment through the civil process and police couldn’t help.

6/15 - Police checked on a vehicle at Four Corners and learned it became disabled after getting bad gas there.

- A U-Haul trailer was reportedly stolen sometime in the past week from a Coulee Hardware parking lot.

6/16 - With no Coulee Dam officers on duty, a Fish & Wildlife officer requested that a Grand Coulee officer stand by while he contacted an “unstable” man in the Osborn Bay area who had been contacting people camping and fishing and saying he worked for “Fish & Game,” possibly making threats. The F&W officer was able to talk to the man without incident.

- A woman on Dill Avenue reported about 10-15 people in square dancing attire marching down the street in unison, and standing in her driveway when confronted. Police spoke to the woman’s caretaker who said that she is in good health but does occasionally suffer from delusions and has had this delusion before.

6/17 - A woman on Roosevelt Drive reported a “hate party” taking place at a neighbor’s residence. Police observed people having a barbecue and minding their own business. Police told the woman that if anyone harassed her or if the music was loud past 10 p.m. to call police back. She was also concerned that someone wrote “you are not our mayor” in chalk on the road. Police explained that since it was chalk and could be washed off, that it wasn’t vandalism. Police told her that she was allowed to wash it off herself when she asked if she could.

6/11 - Police were unable to locate a suspicious vehicle reported in the area of Jackson Avenue in Electric City.

- A Coulee Dam Police report notes that a disorderly conduct case at Lake Roosevelt Schools was handled by tribal police as all involved were enrolled tribal members.

6/12 - A man on Kent Street in Electric City said there was no issue at his residence. A woman had stopped by to drop off belongings, and another woman was upset about it.

6/13 - Owners of a dog on River Drive were told to try to keep it from barking as it was late at night. The next day, the dog was again reported as continuously barking. Because the property belongs to tribal members and the property is on the reservation, the reporting party agreed to call tribal police about the matter in the future.

6/16 - Two juvenile boys were reportedly “hitting rocks” onto the roadway near the football field near River Drive and Civic Way. The boys admitted to doing so when cars weren’t around. They were told not to do so, and that they could be liable for damage caused to cars because of the rocks. They agreed and then left the area.

6/17 - Police determined that diapers left at Birch Street address were not a law enforcement matter.

- A loud party was reported at Steamboat Rock State Park. The police report doesn’t note any further details.

- An unlicensed juvenile boy was pulled over near the Columbia River Bridge in Coulee Dam for going 49 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone. The Douglas County District Court will review the details in order to issue the boy a speeding ticket, because the officer’s system on hand wouldn’t allow him to cite someone under age 16.

6/18 - An Android phone and Google watch were reportedly taken from a charging station in a car at Sunbanks Lake Resort during the night. Notified of the report eight hours later, the reporting party gave permission to “ping” the location of the phone. Police were told by their dispatch center, however, that there wasn’t enough of an “exigent circumstance” to do so. There are no suspects in the theft.
