Fire doused quickly by firefighters

Local firefighters quickly quashed a fire on the hillside above the south side of Grand Coulee Monday afternoon near the road going to Almira.

Firefighters from Grand Coulee, Electric City, Coulee Dam and Elmer City FD #2 responded to the Grand Coulee Hill Road for a reported brush fire in the area.
