Robert Elijah "Rob" Phillips

Robert Elijah "Rob" Phillips, 45, of Nespelem, Washington; who ministered to others through his life and music was gently received into the arms of his Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 7, 2023 from Grand Coulee, Washington.

Born Tuesday, November 1, 1977 to Pastor Bob & Charlene Drywater-Phillips in Claremore, Oklahoma, Rob graduated high school in 1996 from "Way of The Cross Christian Academy", in Elmer City, Washington.

On Sunday April 1, 2012 Rob's life forever changed as he stood before his father – Pastor Bob Phillips in "Way of The Cross Indian Baptist Church" in Nespelem, Washington and was united in marriage to the love of his life: Whitney Jack.

A member of the Cherokee Nation of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and a lay-pastor at "Way of The Cross Indian Baptist Church", Rob had a rich tenor voice, singing with several bands including "The Gospel Representatives", with whom he recorded a CD. From childhood, Rob possessed an amazing natural God-given ear for music, being able to separate out different vocal parts and harmonies. After his relationship with Jesus and his family, Rob's music "was everything to him," no matter the genre of music...as long as it was performed well, Rob enjoyed it and could use it to minister to others.

Rob loved to laugh and spend time particularly with children, "he was everyone's Uncle Rob." Never one to sit still and do nothing, for leisure Rob enjoyed trading card games such as "Pokémon", Playing Chess, Scrabble, "Mario" (and other video games) as well as going to movies and concerts. He especially loved spending time with his own family and creating epic "WWE" home movies with JoJo.

Predeceased by both of his parents and his sister: Marissa Joy Phillips; Rob's legacy lives on through his loving bride eleven years: Whitney Phillips; children: Joseph A. "JoJo" Cavasos, Alexavier O. "Alex" Phillips and River A. Phillips; sister: Sarah & Chris Bartholomew; nephews: Daniel Lickfold, Aston Rogers and Kanaan Rogers and nieces: Kaitlyn Lickfold and Jolie Lickfold.
