The Raider boys get to keep this regular-season, top-of-the-league boasting rights after winning at home against Tonasket last night, securing a first-round by in the District 6 tournament that starts Saturday.

The win came after they had suffered a seven-point loss in Okanogan Jan. 24, the second in league loss the whole season, but emerged the top seed into the District 6 post season last night in Coulee Dam.

Coming off a 22-point win against Manson Jan. 20, the Raiders met stiffer resistance in the Bulldog gym, where Okanogan (5-4 in league, 11-8 overall) pushed passed them 49-42.

At Liberty Bell on Friday, the Raiders took down the Mountain Lions 66-55, then defeated Tonasket (4-5, 12-7) in Coulee Dam last night, 70-54.

While Lake Roosevelt (8-1, 16-3) stays at the top of the Central Washington 2B league,

LR dropped to fifth in the state by the WIAA RPI ranking system, with Davenport (18-2) at the top.

Now begins the District 6 2B Boys Tournament, in which LR gets a by on Saturday's opening round at Liberty Bell High School, where the Mountain Lions will play Tonasket's Tigers. The winner of that game will face Lake Roosevelt on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Omak.

If Lake Roosevelt wins that game, they'll face either number-two Brewster or the team that beats the Bears in the preceding game in Omak, which starts at 6 p.m.

The Bears will be facing either Manson or Okanogan in that contest.

The final round happens Feb. 11 at Omak High School, with games at 1, 2:45, and 4:30 p.m.

Winners Feb. 11 will advance to the District 6/7 crossover games Feb. 18.

District 6's top two teams will play District 7's number five and number four at Wenatchee High School at times to be determined. Other game locations and times for the District 6/7 tournament are yet to be determined.
