Darrel Fleischman

Darrel Fleischman, 75, born January 23, 1947, a long time resident of the Grand Coulee Dam area died on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Born in Omak, Washington, to his parents Floyd and Rose Fleischman, he lived in Omak until his family moved to Moses Lake, Washington. After high school he went to Washington State University until he joined the Army during Vietnam where he was in the 44th medical brigade. After Vietnam he returned to Moses Lake and worked for the waste water treatment facilities. After some moving around the state for work, he settled in Electric City, Washington, and worked for the city of Grand Coulee as the head of the waste water treatment center. He had gotten many awards for doing what he did in his field.  After retirement from the city, he went to work for the Dept of Ecology as an inspector of waste water treatment centers all around the state. 

Darrel was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Joyce, his parents Floyd and Rose, his sister Sandy and daughter-in-law Anna Sterling.

He is survived by his children:  Rouen, Brandon (Stacey), Justin (Candice), and three grandchildren: Jack, Aurora, and Gaven plus one great-grandchild Viktoria.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
