The Lady Raiders soccer team suffered a 10-0 loss Saturday in Quincy.

“I was proud Lake Roosevelt showed perseverance against a very polished 1A opponent,” Assistant Coach Solveig Chaffee said. “We came away with a determination to improve our passing game and to continue working on our defensive marking. Every game is a learning experience and the team handled the loss with grace, ready to learn and improve.”

“Quincy has worked on their game and LR was on their second game when coming against them,” Head Coach Micah Esmond said. “These girls are moving forward with much improvement in the time they have had after the loss. As I told them yesterday, they will learn more from a loss than from a string of wins. They were showing it as they discussed several things they needed to work on and things Quincy did well. The coaching staff is very proud of what they have done so far.”

A road game was scheduled in Manson yesterday, results of which will be in next week’s paper.

They are scheduled to host Tonasket on Thursday, Sept. 29, in Grand Coulee at the former middle school at 4:30 p.m.

Another home game is scheduled for Oct. 4, also at 4:30 p.m., against Oroville.
