The Ridge Riders have been busy preparing the rodeo grounds for the annual Ridge Riders Jr. Rodeo July 23-24.  There can be anywhere from 125-250 kids aging from 5 to 19 years of age with their families in town for the weekend.  There are currently entries from as far away as Gig Harbor, Whitefish, Montana, and Mt. Vernon, Wa.

The Ridge Riders have 55 buckles going to first place winners with cash pay outs going for 2nd, 3rd and 4th places and 9 overall All Around Awards to each age division.  Events range from goat tying, poles, roping, barrel racing just to name a few.  This is a free event for the public so come out and support the youth as they put their rodeo skills to work and face the challenges of the sport of rodeo.  The concession stand will also be open both days during the event.  So put on your boots and grab your cowboy hat and enjoy a tasty hamburger, hotdog, fries and a Coke refreshment or maybe even get an order to go.

Jr. Rodeo's are a great event as they teach kids 3 pillars for success: education, skill development and competition.  The Ridge Riders proudly support these kids and the future of rodeo.
