CO-SALUTATORIAN ASHLEY BAKER

Good morning family, friends, and teachers. Thank you for joining us here today to celebrate the graduating class of 2022 ! My name is Ashley Baker and I am happy to stand here today as one of the co-salutatorians for my class.

When I first sat down to write this speech, I did not know what to do. Do I write about the memories and the fun? What's important to me? What is the message I am supposed to send across today? So, I did what any student does, when we need the answer for something. I looked it up on Google. All the speeches I read were good and gave a lot of advice about good things, but I wanted mine to be different. And means something to me, so here it is.

Well. We finally did it. We have accomplished one out of 100 major milestones of our lives, Today marks the first step of our journey, one that should be recognized for its significance. We have all worked hard to get here today and the work we did will not be as wasted as we think it will be.

Graduation is not the end of the goal. It is the beginning of a new one. It is the launching point to push us where to go next in life.

Congratulations on what we have accomplished ... We did!
