The Raider football team was shut out 30-0 by Colfax in a road game on Friday.

“It came down to a handful of plays where they just out-executed us,” Raider Head Coach Tim Rasmussen said, adding that on three of Colfax’s scoring plays Raiders just missed the tackle, adding to the lopsided score.

“Hats off to Colfax, they played a great game,” Rasmussen continued. “Our kids got some good experience, and we just have to grow and get better. We have to work on some of those that are key to every single part of every play. We need to improve. It’s a good learning opportunity.”

The Raiders were originally going to have a bye week this week, but instead found a way to make up for a game that had been canceled two weeks ago.

The Raiders are now scheduled to host Davenport in Coulee Dam on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m., and the junior high football team’s game is bumped back to 4 p.m. on that same day.
