7/29 - Police were unable to find a gold Nissan Pathfinder reported to have been speeding and passing cars on double yellow lines on SR-174 heading into Grand Coulee. 

- A wallet with an ID, credit cards, and about $100 was found at the Grand Coulee Dam Visitors Center after the laser light show and turned into police. Police were able to find contact info for the Idaho man, who retrieved his wallet.

7/31 - Police told people who had been shooting at Osborn Bay about burn restrictions that restrict target shooting in the area. The people said they understood.

- A woman was allowed to salvage a deer that died after being hit by a car near SR-174 and Spokane Way. 

- Police assisted a National Park Service officer who had pulled over someone for speeding on Spring Canyon Campground Road, then smelled intoxicants on the driver, who refused to perform field sobriety tests. The NPS officer arrested the man after speaking with his supervisor. Police assisted him in getting the driver restrained. 

8/2 - Police arrested a woman on Division Street for assault, resisting arrest, and malicious mischief. The woman allegedly hit her on sometimes boyfriend and threw something through the front window, breaking it. She was naked and hiding behind a curtain when police arrived. She eventually got clothes after being arrested. She was taken to the hospital for a wound on her foot. She was uncooperative with hospital staff as well as with police. Police said she was intoxicated and saying a lot of things that didn’t make sense.

8/3 - A man on Alcan Road was a victim of fraud. He said he received a call from a U.S. Marshall’s Office in Texas saying he was wanted on a warrant for drug trafficking, and to withdraw $500 and buy a gift card. He gave the gift card info to the caller in the amount of $438, which he said was all he had. Police told him that police don’t pursue warrants over the phone and will never ask for money.

8/4 - Two BMX bikes were found on a man’s property on Stevens Avenue in Electric City and he thought they might be stolen. Police said no bikes had been reported stolen, and to leave the bikes in front of the property; if anyone called reporting stolen bikes, police would let the caller know where they were.

- Police helped give fire evacuation notices from Smith Lake Road to Strahl Canyon Road in Douglas County to SR-174.

- A man at NAPA bought some starter fluid, then raised his voice, used profanity, and threatened to beat up an employee. The man was told by employees not to come back. If police see him, they will tell him he is banned from the store.

- Police received a report of a stolen Honda heading east on SR-174 toward Grand Coulee. Police waited near the SR-174 and SR-155 intersection but didn’t see the vehicle. They were updated that the vehicle had turned towards Electric City, likely before it got to that intersection. Police drove to Northrup Canyon and back, and searched other areas for the vehicle but did not find it.

8/7 - Police spoke to the owner of a truck blocking a driveway on Continental Heights, who said he would move it. 

- Police did not observe any barking dogs at large on Roosevelt Drive following a complaint. 

8/8 - Police received a report of a woman being dragged from a vehicle at the King’s Court trailer park. Police didn’t see anyone in distress there, and the people they spoke to had not heard any disturbance.

8/9 - A partially submerged jet ski was found near a campsite at Sunbanks Resort. The jet ski appeared to be old and was thought to have maybe washed ashore from another location. It had a California registration sticker that said “03” on it. It was thought to have little or no value and not to be in any kind of working condition.

- A suspicious man in his 20s was reported as setting a box down in a yard on Jackson Avenue then going into other people’s yards. Police searched the area but didn’t find him.

8/5 - An officer directed traffic on SR-174 near a power substation because of five separate fire starts along the road in that area. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation took over traffic control and the officer left.

8/6 - An officer was told that a trailer that had been parked on Columbia Avenue for a few days would be moved that day. Someone had expressed concern the trailer could cause an accident where it was parked. 

8/7 - A boy was bitten by a dog on Spruce Street and taken to the hospital by his mother. The boy told police he was playing basketball when the dog ran out, followed by a boy and his dog. The dog bit the boy who had been playing basketball. The dog and other boy went back to the house. Police observed a deep bite to his leg. The owner of the dog wasn’t home, and the case was forwarded to tribal police.
