3/11 - A man reported receiving fraud calls in which the caller said he worked for the IRS, knew the last four digits of his social security number, and said that it had been involved with drug smuggling in Texas. He provided police with two phone numbers he received calls from and was told to tell police if he received another call.
- A man reported a package stolen from his porch and showed video of a man wearing a red, white, and blue jacket taking the package. The thief was identified and found at a King Street residence and arrested. The suspect said he was drunk and had thrown the package on the side of the road, and he led officers to it. The contents of the package, a gargoyle toy, was gone. He was taken to Coulee City, where Department of Corrections officers took custody of him for being wanted on unrelated arrest warrants.
- People with flashlights and a revving car engine were reported in the Diamond Street area. Police were unable to locate anything there.
3/12 - A woman believes she must not have put her car in park as it rolled into another car in the hospital parking lot.
3/13 - A cell phone found at Safeway was turned into police after no one had claimed it after about a week.
- A Butler Square man was mailed an infraction for barking dogs, which he had been warned about before.
3/15 - Police told the manager at Sunbanks Resort that he would have to evict a mother and son through the courts. He let them live there for working at the resort, but they became a problem, and now refuse to leave.
Coulee Dam
3/12 - Police told a man coming out of Harvest Foods that he couldn’t drive his car due to having a suspended license. The passenger was licensed and allowed to drive. The man thanked the officer.
3/13 - Police didn’t hear a barking dog reported in the Central Drive area.
3/14 - A woman reported that her son had been riding his bike near the tennis courts near Civic Way and River Drive when an older green pickup struck him, causing him to fall and scrape up his legs. She said he didn’t require medical attention. She said the driver was an older woman with glasses who got out for only a second before driving off. There were no further details on the driver. The mother said she didn’t wish to press charges but wanted to report the incident so police were aware.
