Washington’s governor last week defended his plan to phase in the opening of businesses by region, saying he knows it goes too slow for some people.
“Everybody can have a rational argument against what we’re doing, but you can’t argue with the results,” Gov. Jay Inslee said, “which is that we are ahead of 45 other states.”

The problem that I have with the Governor's reopening plan is that Fraternal lodges, such as the Eagles lodges, and veteran lodges are treated like public bars or restaurants when lodges are not public bars or restaurants. To belong to a fraternal lodge or veteran lodge, you need to be a qualified member and accepted as a member by the governing body. A member can only be served at or enter a lodge if they are a qualified member and are able to show their membership card to a qualified server. The membership at lodges tend to be small, and the members tend to know one another or are close friends. The lodge membership care about one another and look out for one another. This is far different from public bar or restaurant open to the public. Lodges need to be treated differently under the Governor's reopening plan.
