NCW Libraries is seeking applicants for a new Teen Library Council that will help develop programs and resources for teens across North Central Washington.

Youth in grades 8-12 who live in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Grant and Ferry counties are eligible to apply for the volunteer advisory board. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 28.

The council will meet once a month via Zoom during the school year.

Members will be expected to participate in meetings, brainstorm and share ideas on how the library can better serve teens, help promote the library and create content for the library’s website and social media, help judge an annual teen writing contest, and be an ambassador for the library in their communities.

The council will give its members an opportunity to develop leadership skills, enhance college and job applications, and earn community service hours.

Find the application at http://www.ncwlibraries.org/tlc.
