Grand Coulee

6/15 - Police checked on the well being of a Mead Avenue man on behalf of neighbors who hadn’t seen him in several days. Police found the man to be in good health.

- A Grand Coulee woman went to the police station and said a man had hit her. The man said that she and her boyfriend were drinking and asked if he wanted to watch them have sex. The man said he declined that offer and at one point the woman poured his beer on him. The man’s hair and shirt smelled like beer, the police report says. 

6/16 - A man at the Continental Heights apartments wanted his stolen plant back. He could see it on his neighbor’s balcony. The neighbor gave it back, saying a tenant who used to live there gave it to him. The man was happy to have his plant back.

6/18 - A possible DUI was reported with a man leaving the Hill Avenue area in a Jeep with a beer in his hand. An officer saw the Jeep near Federal Avenue and SR-174.Their was a Twisted Tea can in the cupholder. The driver explained that he was using it as an ashtray. The officer confirmed this.

6/19 - A woman refusing to wear a mask at the hospital, against their policy, swatted at a staff member’s arm, making contact with it. She was banned from the hospital for 72 hours. 

- A man was arrested on a reckless endangerment charge after he allegedly threw rocks at cars along SR-174 near Granger Avenue. While at the police station, the man made allegedly  threatened to hit police officers with a rock or bottle. Two counts of intimidation of a public servant were added to his charges and he was taken to jail. 

- A minor on Division Street reported that someone threatened to turn off the internet. Police spoke to a man at the residence and asked him to explain to the minor the proper use of the emergency line.

- A storage unit on Grand Coulee Avenue was broken into. The owner said he would call the renter of the storage unit, and would update police if anything was missing. 

6/22 - Two women were banned from Safeway for one year after allegedly conspiring to steal alcohol by putting bottles in a handbag, before putting them back on the shelves upon police arrival.

- A man was banned from the Eagles after yelling at the bartender to get her things from his home on SR-155. Police went to that residence and stood by while she collected her things. 

- A man near Park Place and Washington Place was upset that the city had cut his tree down, and said he would take care of the cut pieces of wood. City workers were told they didn’t need to remove the wood. Electric City said the tree put power lines at risk.

- A woman reported a bag of tools valued at $200 was stolen from a Dill Avenue address. The tools included saws, a drill, flashlight, and more.
