Grand Coulee Police

4/6 - An officer spoke to two roommates on Roosevelt Avenue. A woman said her roommate threatened to smack her for leaving a basement door open. The man said he didn’t say he would smack her but that she would get smacked. He likes the door closed to prevent a draft.

4/7 - A man reported his vehicle being hit by a pellet gun while driving near E Street and the highway to Bridgeport. An officer spoke to three boys shooting a BB gun. They were shooting cans but shooting toward the highway. An officer told them of the danger of that and the boys agreed to shoot in a safer location.

- An officer spoke to a couple on Stevens Avenue in Electric City regarding their argument in which the woman ripped a speaker off the wall after trying to sleep, and the man threw her jewelry box on the ground. Nothing appeared broken. The officer left.

4/8 - A manager at Cafe Espresso said that a customer pushed his wife and threatened to punch one of her baristas. An officer spoke to the man and his wife. Video surveillance showed the man take something from his wife and throw it. They said they were arguing about pills. The man was banned from the coffee stand.


- An officer spoke to a man in a ravine near O’Sullivan Street. The officer noted the man who had been reported as suspicious, appeared to be on stimulants as he was pacing around and couldn’t keep still. The officer left.

- Police checked on the welfare of a woman on Electric Boulevard. She was fine.

4/9 - Two stray Labrador dogs were found at the top of the Almira Hill and brought to the police department. Arrangements were made to have Colville Tribal Animal Control take the dogs.

4/10 - A woman was reportedly walking in the roadway of SR-174 near the canal bridge and flipping cars off. An officer spoke to an intoxicated woman, and told her to stay out of the roadway. She continued walking home.

- Police spoke to a mother and daughter arguing loudly on Crest Avenue in Electric City. The officer gave the daughter a ride to a friend’s house in Elmer City to diffuse the situation.

4/11 - A man and woman were reportedly arguing on Kelso Avenue before driving away. Police were unable to locate them.

4/12 - An officer responded to Division Street where a man and woman were arguing because he wouldn’t let her drive. The woman was found to be intoxicated and was told by the officer she would be arrested if caught driving. The man said he would try to keep her relaxed but would call if another argument occurred.
