Paul Elmer Allinson

Paul Elmer Allinson, 84, was born November 5, 1935, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, to the home of Ralph and Mildred Allinson, and passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020, in Bonney Lake, Washington.

After graduating from Menlo-Atherton High School in Palo Alto, California, in 1952, Paul enlisted in the Air Force Reserves and served active duty during the Cuban missile crisis. Paul retired from United Airlines after 38 years of service working in San Francisco, California and then in Seattle, Washington. Paul married his sweetheart Sheila in November of 1957.

Paul and Sheila moved to Grand Coulee after retiring in 1991. Paul loved hunting, fishing and competitive trap shooting. Paul enjoyed tinkering and was great at problem solving and could fix just about anything. He also enjoyed working with kids as he taught Hunters Safety education for many years.

Paul was an active member of Grand Coulee Community Church.

Paul was predeceased by infant son, Steven and son, Timothy. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sheila; son Jeffery ( Vicki) Allinson; daughter-in-law Sharon Allinson; grandson Justin ( Candace) Ortega; granddaughter Alicia Ortega; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: James Allinson and Carl St Clair; and sister Louise Standridge.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Grand Coulee Community Church, 405 Center St. Grand Coulee on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. All are welcome!
