Raiders defeat Tonasket, Soap Lake

The league-leading Raider boys notched two more wins last week.

The Raiders defeated the Tonasket Tigers 86-48 in Tonasket on Jan. 28. 

Lake Roosevelt led 49-22 at the end of the first half before outscoring them 37-26 in the second. 

Leading scorers for the Raiders were Soarin’ Marchand, who led the Raiders with 15 points; Sam Wapato, who scored 14; and Kyle Edmo and CJ Saxon, who each scored 10. 

The Raiders went to Soap Lake Thursday, when they annihilated the Eagles 89-28.

Marchand again led the Raiders with 16 points.

Other leading Raider scorers were Cameron St. Pierre, who scored 15; Wapato with 13; and Tyler Jordan with 12.

The Raiders are leading in the Central Washington 2B league, undefeated in the league with a win-loss record of 13-0, and 15-2 overall. 

Brewster is second at 11-1 in league, 14-2 overall. 

An away game in Brewster was scheduled for yesterday against the Bears, results of which will be reported next week. 

The Raiders are scheduled to play on the road against Liberty Bell at 7:30 p.m. Friday. 

A home game in Coulee Dam is scheduled the next day, also at 7:30 p.m., against Waterville-Mansfield.
