Lee Edward Sammons, 66, lifelong resident of Grand Coulee, Washington, went to meet his Lord Jesus face-to-face Thursday evening, December 26, 2019, from Wenatchee, Washington following a brave battle with cancer.

Lee entered this world on Wednesday, October 14, 1953, in Coulee Dam, Washington, the sole child of Phanuel A. "Sam" and Ernestine H. Dryden-Sammons. He attended Grand Coulee Elementary and Lake Roosevelt High Schools. In his younger years Lee enjoyed hiking, had a lifelong love of photography and was an avid reader of science fiction and detective novels and collector of paperback novels.

During his teenage years Lee accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. A member of the Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene Youth Group, he loved riding the church bus to go roller-skating and to other events. As an adult, Lee was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Coulee, Washington for many years and most recently of Faith Community Church of Electric City, Washington. Lee developed a strong, vibrant Christian faith and enjoyed fellowshipping with fellow Christians wherever he was.

What follows are Lee's own words, which he requested to have in his obituary, "In 2010 I dedicated my life to studying the Bible and serving the Lord Jesus with all my heart. In 2011 I was struck down with Viral Pneumonia - this event caused me to mature greatly in the Lord. 2014 – first battle with cancer lead me to dedicate myself more fully to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. It became my passion! 2016 – Illness impressed the need to pray for people immediately."

Predeceased by both of his parents, Lee requested that at his passing, anyone who wishes to - may make a donation in his memory to: The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, 1-800-227-2345 or online at http://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html.
