NOTIFICATION OF INVITATION TO BID

PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT: Ice Age Park

PROJECT ESTIMATE: $450,000

ISSUED BY: Russ Powers, City Administrator

TIME TO COMPLETE: The Contractor shall achieve: 1) Substantial Completion of the work within one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days beginning on the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed; and 2) Completion of the entire work not later than one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days beginning on the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed with the understanding that time is of the essence in the performance of this contract. Times are subject to adjustments as provided in the Contract Documents. The commencement date stated in a Notice to Proceed is generally within 60 working days after award.

BID OPENING DATE: Dec. 11, 2019 at 2 p.m.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Ice Age Park consists of general site clearing, grading and excavation for utilities. Improvements include concrete curbs walks, and an ADA concrete parking area. Specific improvements include a splash pad, play equipment installation, specialty concrete sculpture, picnic shelter, pre-manufactured restroom, irrigation, landscaping, and other work indicated in the Contract Documents. This project is funded through grant funds provided by the Recreation and Conservation Office of the state of Washington. Bidders shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials in compliance with grant funding and the project documents.

Grant County Conservation District

BOARD SEAT AVAILABLE

A board seat on the Grant County Conservation District is available for appointment by the Washington State Conservation Commission. Conservation district board supervisors are public officials who serve without compensation and set policy and direction for the conservation district. An applicant must be registered voter in Washington State, and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applicants for appointed positions do not have to live within the district to apply. For more information, or to obtain an application form, please contact the Grant County Conservation District or visit the Conservation Commission website at http://www.scc.wa.gov/. Applications and supporting materials must be received by the Commission no later than March 31, 2020.

A polling site election for a board seat on the Grant County Conservation District will be held on February 22, 2020 at 1107 S Juniper Dr., Moses Lake, WA 98837. Polls will open at 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. Candidates must be registered voters residing in the conservation district, and may be required to own land or operate a farm. The candidate filing deadline is January 25, 2020 at 4:30 PM. Elections procedures are available at the district office. Absentee ballots are available upon request for eligible voters, but must be requested on or before February 1, 2020 by 4:30 PM. ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE TOWN OF COULEE DAM

Ordinance 778 – AN ORDINANCE of the Town of Coulee Dam, Washington, relating to the wastewater system of the Town; providing for the issuance of a taxable wastewater revenue bond of the Town in the maximum principal amount of $304,000, for the purpose of providing funds to pay part of the cost of the acquisition, construction and installation of improvements to the Town’s wastewater system; fixing the terms and covenants of the bond; providing for the registration and authentication of such bond; creating, adopting and continuing certain funds and accounts; providing for the issuance of additional bonds; approving the sale and providing for the delivery of the bond to the United States of America, acting through the Department of Agriculture; and providing for other matters properly relating thereto.
